Ivy Vine Charities, Incorporated, the non-profit foundation of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ®, Theta Omega Omega Chapter, is pleased to announce its 2020 Debutante Cotillion program which will formally begin in Spring 2020. The program is open to young ladies who are enrolled in high school as juniors or seniors during the 2020-2021 school year and who have demonstrated academic stability (current GPA of 2.5 or higher). We cordially invite you to submit an application to join the esteemed alumnae of Montgomery County and the Metropolitan DC area who have participated in our program.
Historically, a cotillion was characterized as a formal, social dance. In recent years, it is most often recognized as a formal presentation of young ladies referred to as debutantes. These young ladies are presented to society after they have developed social skills and acquired a sense of responsibility and achievement that prepares them to conquer life’s challenges as a lady. Ivy Vine Charities, Incorporated embraces this concept with a program that affords young ladies the opportunity to develop and enhance their personal, educational, cultural, spiritual and social lives. This unique program culminates with a formal Debutante Cotillion Ball to be held in November 2020.
Please submit a Cotillion Application Package consisting of:
